I've only taken two Spanish classes in high school. I don't really plan to take any more foreign language classes. A while back, I really wanted to learn Japanese, but now I'm not so devoted. I mean, it would be cool to be fluent in another language, but I don't think I would have the time to learn a language as complicated as Japanese... or any other language for that matter.
In retrospect, I should have taken German instead of Spanish. I find the language much more interesting. I'm never going to use what little Spanish I have learned. It's only good for random little comedy bits. For example, when a customer asked me if Secret Window is good, I replied "Es muy ventana."
You see, stupid stuff like that can really brighten your day if you rent out videos for rednecks.
But if there is one positive thing I've taken away from my high school language classes, it's that I can now speak in a semi-convincing Spanish accent... even if I've completely forgotten about grammar and sentence structure.
