You could link that to something else though, and say "Oh, just because Religion/Society says its wrong/perculiar it must be bad.". Most societies and Religions think that certain Religions are wrong and bad...but they're not.

In which case you could simply say "Well, it's my opinion..." or "It's my way of thinking that..." instead of saying "Well, because Religions say its bad...it must be...yeh...like, ummm, Jiggaboo's and whites...dirty, filthy animals." [that was an exaggerated example].
