I'm not sure about the Sligs overthrowing the Glukkons. It seems feasible, but then where would that leave the Glukkons? Abe's quest is to restore balance to Oddworld, not just tip the scales towards the natives' pan.

Yea... but c'mon be reasonable! Whats he gonna do? Walk up to the gluks and ask for piece? Don't think so. The glukkons will always have something against Abe and co, especialy after blowing up or shutting down 6 of their factorys! A lot of things may happan in the future... but there is one thing not going to happan, and that is piece between Muds and the Magog Cartel.
