Couple of quotes. The first is from me, written in response to a homophobic on another board who refered to homosexuals as nothing but animals:

"No matter what color our skin is, what religion we believe in, or what our sexual orintation is: we are all human. This is what those that discriminate against homosexuals need to remember. I am a strong believer that homosexuality something a person is born with, not something that they just suddenly 'decide' to be (I will accept there are those out there that act gay because they think it's 'fashionable'. No I don't think that is ok, for it tints the views others have of homosexuals IMO).

I will admit that when I met my first homosexual I was frightened: he displayed very exaggerated feminine behavior. (And this guy was a First Sergaent in the AF...thinking back now I wonder how he managed to hold that position, considering the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy...which I think is wrong anyway) But that was because I really didn't know anything about homosexuality. Human beings have a tendiacy to fear and hate what they don't understand, but I never went into the 'hate' part and after finding out more about them I understood what homosexuality was. As far as I am concerned, it is just falling in love with someone who is the same sex. Love is a wonderful thing...why deny a homosexual the ability to express that love to who they love? Are they not human like the rest of us? Yes they are, no matter what you think or feel about them.

Yes, public acts of lewdness is against the law...but straights are just as guilty of doing such acts as homosexuals. But for those that do the right thing and wait until they get into the privacy of their home to express their love for each other in that way...what is the problem? Why should what they do in the bedroom concern you? It shouldn't...for it's between them and them alone: as long as it's between two consenting non-related adults. "

Second one, in response to the religion bit that keeps creeping up:

"Do not accept authority merely because it comes from a great man, or is written in a sacred book, for truth is different for each man and woman." - Buddhist Monk
