For one thing, paedophilia used to be socially acceptable (yay Ancient Greece!) but it changed so any social value can go both ways.

And anyway I think your link between homosexuality and paedophilia is very tenuous: Yes, homosexuality used to be negatively regarded just like paedopilia but the reasons for the change are (I believe) the downturn/liberalisation in religious beliefs (by which I mean fewer people are practicing religion and there is comparatively less fundamentalism in those still practicing) in our society and also the overall relaxation of sexuality in the last half-century. Whereas the stigma against paedophilia is that it is hurting young kids, which I doubt will change any time soon. Ditto for hurting animals.
