Yes, definitely exercize.

Many people have naturally low seritonin levels, so they feel bad all the time. Drugs raise your seritonin levels, so this is a main reason of resorting to drugs. It's the only thing that can make them feel better. But aerobic exercize also releases a rush of seritonin into your body too...that's why most physically fit people aren't on drugs, because they don't need that extra seritonin boost. This is what people are referring to as the "runner's high".

I run 3 miles every day and when I don't, I just feel...blah.

It really helps.
