It was a good thing it was morning, as they usually come out at night. The bigger ones sometimes come out in the day. Anthony scanned the area, he looked into the burned, destroyed buildings. London was a whole new place now. After the initial "cleaning" missions, it was mostly blown to bits. "Move!" said Barry. He ran into the wreckage of an old cafe. Steve ran up to him, then Anthony went, followed by John, finally Keith came. "Start scanning" said Barry. Anthony pushed a button on his headset, and his vision went blue, he looked at his friends, who were a bright red colour. This mode was built to sence body heat. He saw nothing but blue for miles. "Got one!" shouted John. The team looked in his direction. In the distance was a red figure, walking with what looked like a gun in his arms. "Ah crap, it looks like hes a merc" said John. Steve, who had a zoom on his headset, looked into the glowing red figure. "Hes in a building, 50m away, hes carrying an L85. Hes a merc alright" Mercanaries were people who didnt want to live in the rigs, they lived in the citys, constantly being hunted, but prevailed due to their natural immunity to the disease. "Ant, turn ya bloody heat off, we need one person to be lookout" said Barry. anthony did as he was told, and his vision went back to normal.
they decided to leave the Merc, he wasnt worth all the hastle. Moving around in the city only attracted unwanted attention to yourself. The others scanned, but there were no other survivors. Suddenly Anthony saw something, it was a small figure, it ran quickly down an alley. "Over there!" he shouted, and the team turned to where he was pointing. "Survivor?" asked John. "Not likely. Keith, Anthony. Go check it out." Said Barry.
