Hi, Melvin, there is this official theory about scrabs:
The scrabs we saw at the previous games were ALPHA scrabs. They are fiercly territorial and fight each other to the death in order to control his own area.
They are the stongest and the leaders of scrabs packs. the weaker scrabs just follow the leader, and if Abe possess the ALPHA leader of a scrab pack, he will be able to control all of them!!
