Good questions, Havoc.

1. I think you're referring to MO more than AE, here, as an early description of the first level involved searching the ruins of RuptureFarms - which, of course, wouldn't be ruins.

2. They'd love to get a hold on a factory like that, but if they did, Lady Margaret would place responcibility for the disaster on their shoulders, in order to get the Chroniclers off her back. That's where Lulu comes in - or would have, had that plot device not been excluded from the final draft of MO. However, in non-written canon, he may well have been about to step in and replace Molluck, as a Daily Deception Online headline a while ago did explain that RuptureFarms' grand reopening had been cancelled.

And then THQ go and say RuptureFarms was developed into Evenwurst Weenerz Factory.

3. More than likely, though it's never been expressly said. Molluck faked his own death to avoid taking responcibility for the disaster. And SS is right, there is a rumour going about that Molluck belongs to the Oddworld Mafia.

4. Technical and time restraints during development. Shrykull was scheduled to appear, but didn't. Alf explains it by saying Abe wanted to use some different powers for this adventure.

5. As SS says. It's the only explanation.

6. Bird portals is my guess. Makes me wonder how many there were. Vykkers Labs is massive: Munch only rescued, what, a few dozen during gameplay. Alternatively, they could have stowed away on the Blimps that took the Auction Bidders off the ship (assuming most of them did. Lulu certainly did, as we see him on the streets later).
