It definitely has a Vykkers design. I don't see why it should be compatable with one Vykkers Labs mother ship, though. The Vykkers Pods don't dock with the submarine, after all (lol, maybe I'm wrong, though). Whatever, this new vessel seems to me to be meant to dock with the town.
As an aside, I don't remember anyone being disappointed by the environments.
