That sounds like the type of worm that'd live in the ocean, but how an ocean dwelling worm ended up in the most opposite of places is beyond me.
The picture of that beast head that greenangel posted is a picture of an Ahtouid Neokrafti's head. The Ahtouid is an octopus like creature that dwell in the gulfs/seas of Mexico and England, It has 30 long tentacles with small mouth-like claws on the end of each tentacle. If you've ever seen the movie "Deep Rising" the creature is supposed to be a very large version of the Athouid.
