Ah... you're referring to
Abe's Exoddus: The Movie. This is a short film (runs for approx. 15 minutes) that was nominated for an Academy Award (Short Animation). It is made up of the FMVs from Abe's Exoddus and contains additonal footage featuring the FUD Newsreader (who is a Mudokon) reporting the events that occurred. Unfortunately it didn't win the Academy Award. Although it was the first (and only so far) video game nominated for an Academy Award.
As for full-length movies... these have been said to be 5 years away. The Oddworld Quintology was originally written to be a movie... but Lorne and Sherry decided to make it games. There will be one movie for each part of the Quintology.
