I think CarboN (who has a swingin' dancing Abe avatar, BTW) is right: the sligs can't really do anything without the guns and pants the Glukkons give them. Plus, they've been sold by the slig queen. Plus, they're just too stupid to have an idea like revolting. Interns, I think, are paid, and/or are dependent on the drugs they steal when raiding drug cabinets.
P.S. Ever notice how some species' names are capitalized, and some aren't? Like, Glukkon and Mudokon are capitalized all the time, but slig isn't? Maybe it's because the sligs don't really have a culture or civilization. Maybe Glukkon and Mudokon are as much the names of nations as they are the names of the species. Just my thoughts.
