I'm very pleased with the end result. Sure they cut a lot and changed stuff from the book, but the films are great, and they did stay very close to a lot of Tolkien's material. I think its a great adaption, and would completely agree with Oddguy. The LOTR is one of the best trilogies, and the greatest films ever.
