Yeah Im pretty sure Pixar did not work on anything for LOTR. Weta is the effects company, unless theres an article from a reliable source I'd have to say chances of Pixar working on good ol Schelob, are not good at all.
Yeah, right now PJ is working on the Remake of King Kong, and then if they can get the rights from Christopher Tolkien, etc. they will probably do the hobbit.
