The only thing that will ever top that triligy in my eyes is an Oddworld film. it was superb, absolutely brilliant, imo.

The battle of Pelanor was stunning, the Rohirrim were very moving and also stunning, the trolls were amazing. The scene where Denethor ate, Pippin sang and the Gondorians walked where the flowers were thrown was very moving and expertly done. Gollums character was expertly developed, he became very clever and conniving.

Sam was also superb, his character was one of the best. If Sean Astin doesn't win a whole load of awards for that performance then well.. he should (I finished that sentance lamely..)

I was however, slightly disappointed that the army of the dead just wondered in and destroyed every single enemy in a single swipe. That battle should've been desperate and the men shnould've won it alone, without the help of the dead. I was also disappointed not to see the scouring of the shire (though I knew it wasnt in it), that was one of my favourite parts in the book.

The witch-king was perfect, as was his battle and eventual death. I loved so much of it. The lighting of the beacons was almost perfect with truely sensation music that really made that scene, and Legolas killin' that Murmakil was pretty darn cool as well.

It was an extremely good end to a superb triligy and I really wanna see the extended version to see the utter demise of Saruman and possibly Wormtongue.

And last, but certainly not least, Liv Tyler was once again extremely beautiful as Arwen, imo.
