I was just going to make a thread about this.
Anyways I saw it Friday night, and not only do I think it was the best LOTR movie out of the three, but I think its one of the best films Ive seen in a long time. No film was able to have such an emotional impact in various parts of the film.
I definately think its time the academy recognizes Peter Jackson, and everyone else, and the film itself.
I really cant wait for the extended edition: Saruman's final scenes, the Mouth of Sauron, etc.
Sure the end was a long after the whole Mt. Doom part, but I rather like long epilogues, that actually explain in detail what happens to the characters in the trilogy.
