Dude, I know what ya mean. I sound sooo cool...to myself, but one time I left a message on the family voice machine and upon deleting it I heard myself and.....Argh!
I sounded like I was very homosexual. Anyway, I think the difference is that we hear our own voices internally....like how you can hear yourself chew.....and when we hear our voices from an external point it's not the same, so it sounds way different to us.
