I can't really say if being friends with family is good, cos i don't really get along with mine. But i'd say the whole Grig having no friends is bad. He won't learn to socialise properly. Sure, he'll socialise with his family but they'll put up with his socially inept flaws - whereas actual people won't. He'll end up being a lonely, social outkast whom my kind use for pathetic and petty fun when bored.
