Once you've blown up those Sligs at the far end (or, if like me you prefer a mor epeaceful approach, and have picked them all up and put them in the cage), use Abe to carry each Mudokon individually across the gauntlet; make sure you have an Expresso taking effect on you, though, or else you'll innevitably get shot down each run and lose that Mudokon.
In fact make the run on your own a couple of times before hand and you can get rid of the Slogs.
Good luck - Munch's Oddysee, unlike the previous games, is less a test of reasoning and reactions as it is a trial of tedium.
