Yeah, I've seen that Rd episode; I know what you mean. But just to nitpick, the snake thing was actaully called the
'Wyverouroborus' (Wyvern + Ouroboros), and it held its tail in its mouth and continually circled the Earth. I presume the RD scriptwriters thought the name Ouroboros sounded better and coupled better with the idea of Lister's infinity. A snake also has more appeal as an animal than a sideways 8.
