The gathering walked along, stopping at every fork and waiting for general agreement as to which path they would choose. Well, it wasn't long until they began flipping coins to decide which way to go and then finally they didn't care anymore; they just followed whoever seemed to be in the lead.
There was a roof on the maze, so our heroes didn't know what time it was, but they were tired and there was no sign of them getting anywhere.
Lammy: My feet are aching! We have to stop for the night.....err, whatever!
Geeble: No! Everyone, feel the wall.
They all touched the wall and noticed it was extremely hot.
Blarg: We're close to something.
Saros: I'm not ready to face something right now, but I know if we sleep, that something is going to get us in the night.
Ronan: We must continue.
Geeble began to lead the way, but something wasn't right to him. He took his staff in both hands and pounded the floor. The ground shook and the floor beneath them gave way and they began to fall into darkness. Well, seeing as Blarg and saros had wings, they both franticaly tried to grab hold of everyone. Blarg got a hold of Geeble by the leg, and Geeble locked hands with Ronan. Saros caught Lammy and now everyone was safe. Blarg and Saros flew their friends over to a ledge. Now that they weren't falling, they could see where they were. From the smell of burning lava, the gathering knew at once that they had fallen into a volcano.
Blarg: We have to get back to the top!
Just as Blarg said this, they all felt a rumbling and all looked up at the opening they had fallen from. In the distance, they could see a gigantic beast with a boulder. It was covering the top and sealing them inside the volcano!
