I don't often dream of falling, but whenever I have a nightmare and I wake up, I get the falling/landing feeling just after I've woken up. I did used to have a very regular dream about flying down the stairs, though.
Oh God Grig, you've reminded me of one bad ass nightmare I had.  I can't remember exactly when I had it (PS: I assumed I'd had it when Miss Whitehead was still at school, but I'm pretty sure now I had it not all too long after the World Trade Centre collapsed), but I was walking down the path that runs alongside the Cathedral and leads to the Old Bishop's Palace at school, and I said hello to a Miss Whitehead, a physics teacher who has left now, then just as I was passing through the area where one of the caretakers parks his car, I hear a helicopter flying overhead, and it drops an atomic bombs. And the bomb drops. Boom. Wake up scared shitless.
I spent the rest of the night trying to dream about it again, but lucidly, so I could evacuate Norwich and get everyone to safety. Not so much a weird dream, but a nightmare I thought I'd share.

Sorry I awakened the horrible nightmare rememberance for you. I constantly have dreams about world destruction! It's all horrible! With the bombs exploding around you and everyone's screaming, and your trying to save them... And I sometimes have dreams where i'm fighting a war, and everyone is dead all around me, and there are 15 people trying to take me captive! I't so scary! I never want to feel that helpless in real life!
Anyway, off the deppressing subject. Anybody have dreams where they're flying like in crouching tiger hidden dragon? Those dreams are so wierd!
