Part 4

*Setting: The song 'Bonnie and Clyde' by Jay-Z and Beyoncé played quietly on the radio and, once again, Alexie felt awash of grief seemingly drowned him. Running his hands through his black hair he sniffled, allowing a lone tear to seep from his left eye and run down his cheek. He was sat in the dark, dank basement of the bar with only a radio, old matress and oil lamp to keep him company. The bartender had thrown him down here to sober him up, not wanting a drunkard staggering around outside and bringing needless attention to the lone, independant bar. Staring into the dark shadows Alexie remembered the good times he shared with Midian. From when they were alone together, holding each other to when they enacted their revenge and then to the pain Midian went through as she absorbed his own painful memories and was slowly ripped apart emotionally. Upon her death his eyes and mind had been blinded for a nanosecond, his brain flooded with pain, grief, hatred, frustration and desperation. His eyes flooded with images from his past but, also, hers. His emotions had overflown with every depressing feeling there was and now the only two things he has left are her memory...and, her memories.
*Child screaming*
The sound shot through his head and caused his cheek to spasm softly. A low growl came from him as he clenched his fists and tried to force the sound out of his head, knowing that it was just another memory of Midians forming and making itself apparent. Something he didn't want to deal with right now. Slowly he stood, feeling around the small room.*

Alexie: "H-Hello? Hello!??"

He banged his fists on the ceiling, knowing that the barkeepers were there due to the sounds of footsteps above. Almost immediatly there was a clicking sound from part of the ceiling and upon turning his head Alexie watched as new light cascaded into the room, closely followed by the head of the Mudokon who he recognised as the bartender.

Bartender: "So you've finally awoke then? Come on, out you come..."

He reached down a hand and offered the Orkhid some help. Reaching out Alexie grasped it and allowed himself to be pulled out of the small, dingy room and into the bar again. The smell of the bar made him nauseous as the memories of what he drank beforehand crept back into his mind.

Alexie: "H-How long was i down there for?"

His eyes squinted as he looked around, the bar seemed emptier and the light outside seemed brighter.

Bartender: "Two days...i think...you weren't a very light sleeper though, alcohol probably the cause..."

Alexie: "Two days?! Shit!! Where's my car?"

Bartender: "What does it look like?"

Stepping past the Orkhid he walked to the small hatch that led to the drinking side of the bar and gestured to Alexie to get from the serving area.

Alexie: "Yellow hatchback. Its a hoverer."

He said this as he was stepping to the otherside of the bar and awaited a reply from the Mudokon.

Bartender: "Ahh...it's 'round the back. Joshies fixing it up though, it got broken into whilst you slept...minor damage...nothing too big. You're gonna have to see if anythings stolen though."

A frustrated grunt came from the Orkhid as he slammed his palm down on the bar and took a seat on a nearby bar stool.

Alexie: "When will it be fixed? And how much will i have to pay?"

Shrugging the Bartender answered without speaking, he then turned to another creature situated on the opposite side of the bar and began to serve him.
*Child screaming*
Squeazing his eyes shut Alexie began to tremble as the sound breached his will once again. His Heart rate increased and his breathing became laboured.

Alexie: "Get me a bottle of Tequila..."

He slowly looked up, gradually opening his eyes as the sound seemed to bite its way into his brain.

Alexie: "I want...a...bottle of Tequila."

His eyes locked on to a nearby Barmaid who reached below the bar and brought out a 2 litre bottle of Tequila and slammed it down on the bar top. Annoyed by his tone of voice and attitude.

Barmaid: "That'll be $6.28"

Delving into his pockets Alexie grasped a stash of notes and coins and slammed them on the top, still fighting the sickening image that was trying to form in his head. Looking down at the cash the Barmaid sighed, noticing the money Alexie had produced was pounds instead of dollars. Sifting through the cash she quickly picked up £4.50 and walked over to the till, leaving the remainder of the money behind. And leaving Alexie to drowned his sorrows...for the second time in a week.

(OOC: Not much action...but shtill...feel free to state what you would like to see in future fics.)
