I am a musician so the things that I hate most are these groups that make millions of dollars making soulless music that pitch straight to the demographic of 14 year old girls who are angry at their parents. Papa Roach, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Cold, Dashboard Confessional all fall into this category. It sickens me that bands that make truly revolutionary music cant even make enough money to support themselves. My favorite band is a band called Olivia Tremor Control. Their Black Foliage album is truly one of the greatest albums ever made. It makes Phil Specters wall of sound look like a flimsy cubicle. When they came to town on tour they slept in my basement because they couldn't even afford a hotel room. While it was a great honor it still saddened me deeply. To all of you who actually listen to the new cock rock please try to expand your horizons. Bands like dredg, radiohead, at the drive in, sparta, beulah, the affore mentioned OTC, neutral milk hotel, Of montreal, jeremy enigk. All these people are well worth their weight in gold. Please for your own sake check them out.
