I beleive in the theory that the reason all animals are shaped how they are is because it is the most energy efficient shape for what we do most often. For instance, if we spent more and more time in water of the next hundred thousand years, we would most probably adapt to it by developing a bodyshape that would allow us to do things more efficently.
But who controls this? What is to say that a higher being isn't in charge of mother nature?
I certainly beleive so.
