Part 7
*Setting: The male Orkhid rushed down the corridors, his fat legs working overtime as he pushed himself to his limit. He knew he had to get to Aisha and get her out of the entire facility as soon as possible, closely followed by the other defected children. He had watched the children grow from tiny, fragile babies since he had been drafted in to help with their growing up...and now, now they were being trained to fight and kill. As soon as they reach the final stage Janek and Sykes will only keep the Scientists and Doctors who had worked hard and who were on good terms with them. Silak would probably promote Sykes. The Medical Council and the main Council would probably hold them in good regards and, if everything went smoothly, give them chairs in the among them quarters. All that for exstinguishing the lifes of creatures who were different from themselves, it wasn't right. His train of thought disappeared for a brief moment as he stepped into the main holding cell area and noticed that the cell were Aisha was previously being held in was open. The guard on duty was sat on a small wooden chair, idle and smoking.*
Cornesh: "W-Where is she??"
The guard looked up slowly and shrugged. Not really caring.
Guard: "One of the Doctors came down with a bunch of guards, told the guards to take her to OR3. Heh, whatever that is."
Fortunatly for Cornesh he knew what the acronym meant, turned hap-hazardly and darted down the corridor from where he came.

*Setting: Janek stared at her through the glass window. Aisha had been put back in the glass chamber that all of the test subjects were forced to stay in. Her wrists were handcuffed, as were her feet, and the chain of the feetcuffs and handcuffs were linked with an additional chain attached in the middle. Insuring that she couldn't get very far if she made a break for it. And just incase she managed to break out, the guards were ordered to shoot to kill. Aisha's nails were still long, as were her K9's. The staff involved in the entire project believed this to be a great sign, even though she was still young and the only subject to be showing progress...it still meant the nanobots were doing what they were designed to do. Enhance certain aspects of the Orkhid race. To create a Primary Soldier race that could be sent out onto the battle field as a sacrificial Lamb, but one that would mow down the enemy with relentless ruthlessness. Turning, Janek stepped over to one of the Scientists who was monitering the terminal that showed all of the teens vital signs.*
Janek: "Is she shoving any signs of dying?"
The Scientist tapped the keyboard and brought up the vitals for the blonde female. Tapping random keys he then brought up some more detailed information, shook his head slowly and looked up at Janek.
Scientist: "No...sorry, sir."
Running a gloved hand over his bald head Janek nodded slowly.
Janek: "It's ok, ve vill kill her tomorro, first thing..."

*Setting: Heading down the hallway towards the third Observation Room Cornesh clutched something in his right pocket. Beads of sweat seeped from his brow as he knew what he was attempting to do was risky, yet he knew he had to do it. Ignoring the guard who sat on watch he quickly made his way to the mechanical door and upto the keypad, even though he didn't know the code, he felt it best that he made it look as if he did. But fortunatly for him, as he neared, the door opened. Stepping back Cornesh waited to see who was exiting and was partially shocked to see Janek standing in all his glory. Janeks pale skin seemed to be paler than before and his grey eyes more cold. Pursing his lips the Consultant eyed the Doctor up and snarled lowly*
Janek: "Vhat is it you vant, Cornesh?"
The overweight Orkhid ignored the question and marched forwards, barging past the Consultant and ignoring the two guards on either side of the door facing towards the room itself. Resting his left hand on the railing Cornesh seemed to skip quickly down the steps and then march to were Calahan had stated the machine in question was. Taking a quick glance in the glass compound his Heart sank as he spotted Aisha sitting, alone, segregated from the other "normal", healthy test subjects.
Janek: "CORNESH!?! VHERE ARE YOU GOING!?!"
Janek stepped down a couple of the metallic steps now, suspicious of the Doctors intentions. And his suspicions were well within right. For as Cornesh neared the terminal monitering the subjects vitals, he brought his chubby, right hand out of his pocket. White powder seemed to be coating the palm of his hand, as if he had been holding something, but that didn't arouse any suspicion and Janek ignored this mere detail as he watched Cornesh grab the Scientist monitering the vitals, haul him off his chair and then fling him backwards. Immediatly the guards near the entrance of the room cocked their rifles and targeted him, but as soon as Janek heard the clicking he flung his hands up in the air and shouted with pure desperation.
Janek: "STOP!! YOU'LL HIT THE MONITER!!"
The guards looked at each other and then slowly lowered their guns, instead opting to let Janek attempt to stop the Doctor in his proceedings. And that he attempted to do. Rushing forwards with his black coat flailing behind him Janek shouted at Cornesh, ordering him to stand down. Cornesh on the other hand ignored him and went to the edge of the moniter closest to the wall, reached back and yanked out random wires. Sparks flew and electricity buzzed around, some random jolts hit the Doctors chubby fingers as he proceeded in doing this, but he knew he couldn't let anything stop him. When he believed he had pulled all the wires he could, he turned his attention to the main screen, reached for a chair with his right hand and grasped the back of the nearest one. His hand was immediatly accompanied by Janeks as it landed ontop of his with a good amount of force.
Janek: "You dare do this and i svear to you, you vill pay...i vill have your fat hide on a operating table and pumped so full of drugs, so quickly you von't know vhat specie you are..."
Snatching his hand from under Janeks, Cornesh then placed it in his pocket and looked the Consultant in the eyes.
Cornesh: "Do what you will, Janek. Do what you will."
And with his last word he brought his hand out, it was formed into a fist and from the sides white powder was seeping out. Swinging his hand towards Janeks face, Cornesh opened his fist and allowed the white powder to go in the Consultants face. The substance hit the Orkhid square in the face and sent him staggering backwards, his gloved hands gripping his eyes as he did so.
Janek: "AHHHGRRRR...YOU BASTARD...SHOOT HIM!! SHOOT HIS LEGS!!"
Janek staggered away, waving his right hand out to make contact with something or someone. As the guards once more took aim, Cornesh grasped the back of the chair, picked it up and then heaved it into the screen. Sparks flew at the exact moment the bullets hit his legs. It seemed as if a thousand Bee's were stinging him at once and within seconds Cornesh had fell forwards onto the ground, writhing in agony. Doctors, Scientists and other Medical and Research staff rushed forward to aid Janek, all asking the same mindless questions such as 'Are you ok, sir?' and 'Where does it hurt?'. Within a couple of seconds the guards had rushed down to were the whole incident had occurred and pinned Cornesh down whilst they radioed for backup.
Janek: "GET AVAY!! GET AVAY!!"
The Consultant waved his hands around wildly, squinting with pain as his once clear eyes were now all red, inflamed and sore. Pushing and knocking other medical staff out of his way the fuming creature stepped towards the restrained Doctor and looked down on him, his vision blurred and his eyes stinging furiously.
Janek: "Pick him up..."
His voice was soft yet broken as he spoke to the guards, but looking at each other they hesitated.
Guard: "But, but sir. He'll..."
Janek: "I SAID PICK HIM UP!!"
His face seemed to boil and redden, water seeped from his eyes and spittle flung across at the two guards like poison. Nodding quickly they obeyed and grasped the overweight Orkhid under the arms and heaved him up. Cornesh winced in pain and blood seeped from his legs, making a steady pool on the ground.
Janek: "You...idiot. You...moron. You risked your career for a defected experiment and for vhat? Vhy? Are there some outside forces at vork? Are you being paid to protect them? Protect...her."
He glanced over his shoulder and stared were the glass compound was. Although his vision was blurry he could still make out a figure stood at the glass trying to peer out. The other's were all sat down quietly, knowing that something was going on but not wanting to get into trouble for trying to see.
Janek: "Vell? Vhy?"
Looking up, Cornesh stared at his superior and chuckled.
Cornesh: "For...love. They are children...they are my babies...from when i met them...to now...i will not allow you to..."
*Slap*
The sound of a gloved hand against skin echoed throughout the room and made a couple of Scientists gasp in shock. A red hand print began to form on the Doctors left cheek almost immediatly.
Janek: "Hand me your gun..."
He held out his right hand and looked at the guard on his right side. With a slight hesitation, but not much, the guard reached back and pulled out his sidearm. A 9mm.
Janek: "Although it is protocol to vait and see vhat the Medical Council say, i'm sure they'll thank me in the long run for sparing them their time. Goodbye, Cornesh."
He rose his armed hand and pulled the trigger. Cornesh's eyes widened in shock as he felt bullet after bullet tear through his chest and puncture his organs. Even when Cornesh's head lulled forward and blood seeped from his mouth, Janek continued to fire at the gluttonous blob, only stopping when the sound of 'clicking' replaced the shots. Once this had happened, he handed the weapon back and nodded a thankyou.
*Scream*
The sound seemed to come from everywhere and as soon as it began Janek turned.
Janek: "VHAT IS THAT!?!"
His hands immediatly went to his ears and he looked around in vain, not seeing much.
Scientist: "IT'S AISHA, SIR!! IT SEEMS AS IF...SHE'S...SHE'S..."
As he looked on at the shackled subject he watched as her eyes went totally black, her mouth was still open and letting out a blood-curdling screech. Her palms were pushed against the window and her sharp nails digging into the glass. As they watched in horror they saw blood drip from her eyes, then her nose. Watched as her body began to jerk and the links in the chains that were keeping her restrained snapped. The veins in her neck and face became apparent, seemingly throbbing as the sound she emitted went on and on. Her head then began to shake violently and dropping to the floor she went into a seizure...
Scientist: "SHE'S GOING INTO THE FINAL STAGE!!"

*Setting: In his cold, dingy bathroom the Reseacher Calahan washed his face. The lone lightbulb hung over head, flickering every once in a while. He had his shirt off and was washing his face, dreading every moment he continued to work in the Orkhid facility and wondering how easy it would be to just...fade into the background...into the shadows. Dunking his head into the sink full of cold water he lost himself in thought, imagining he was swimming in a warm river on a warm continant far from were he was. But as he continued this thought a screech seemed to echoe in his head. The imagined sound so powerful that his brain felt as if it was being invaded and prodded. Bringing his head out of the water he rubbed his hands up and down on his face and then moved them apart to look at his reflection in the mirror above the sink. In doing so he took a sharp intake of breath. His eyes were completly black. Not only that, but his whole body was throbbing with his veins, he looked like a map. Stepping away from the mirror he gasped, his Heart skipped a beat and he suddenly felt queasy and percuilar. His eyes blinked rapidly and his Heart once again skipped a beat...longer this time. Gasping his airways seemed to close and open until...he fell and began to seizure.*
