I think that was some myth, or a case that someone presented that was found out to be fake. If it was true it would probably be people who are on cells twenty four seven, everyday, in their entire life. Or more likely it was made up by someone who wasnt able to afford a cell phone, and tried to make an excuse why they didnt have one.

You shouldnt imply only men use cells 24/7 with the word "his".
Anyways I allready stated I only use my cell phone for emergencies, or certain circumstances, such as trips. Or this year if I get out early from a practice, or need a ride home, etc. Although I admit too, there are people who leave them on during class. and it gets quite annoying.
