Welcome to the Forums, Benicio. Make sure you read the Forums and official FAQs, and also the rules.

As a game, Munch's Oddysee is great fun to play, and provided you're willing to put the effort in, has great replay opportunities. Having owned it for months, I still enjoy trying to play through killing as few Sligs as possible and so forth. Graphics are superb, even though they only harness a fraction of Xbox's capabilities, and FMVs are beautifully done. There are a few niggles - linear gameplay, an awkward camera, erroneous buffer zones - it's still a great game.

However, if you fell in love with the first games more because of the Oddworld universe, the characters and overall style, then MO does leave a bit to be desired. This game is a lot more cartoony, and uses more comic relief than dark humour. Several characters would seem to behave out-of-character compared to the Abe games, and poor AI makes the whole experience a lot less realistic than before. Level designs tend to rely less on puzzle-solving, more blasting or running your way past enemies, while the overall story seems improperly explored and fragmented.

My conclusion: still an essential game in the Oddworld series, and absolutely worth buying if you're an Xbox gamer. If you weren't raised on all the previews, you won't miss all the content that never made it to the final version, but most fans have gotten past its inadequacies.

Welcome once more.
