Yea in light black is the absence of color but when your mixing paints you will get eather a real mucky brown color or black.

Its called additive color theory and subtractive color theory. Additive is the use of light where the more colors you add the lighter it gets and eventually turning white. And subtractive is the use of paints or any coloring medium. That is when ever you mix mediums your colors are going to reduce and are going to get darker and darker until it turns black.
