Well the Glukkon's use any space available to put in an extra tent or two if they can. I belive that thoughs pipes are mainly for sewage and prehaps other utilities. As for the green gas every where, well it could possible be simulated swamp air for the Sligs that live there but my guess is that its something much more gross.
