I love the idea of having the strong silent hero in steef but I think something OI might be overlooking is the antihero. the kind that I am talking about would be like steef in such that it is the strong silent type with a strict sense of honor and obligation. The only difference would be that the character is a fanatic of some kind. Say that it has some knowledge of some item that could turn the tide against the war with the industrialists and has been seeking it for years. Further suppose that in the guise of ultimately helping every creature on oddworld it will make some indiscretions that will actually lead to self loathing. Maybe he would sacrifice some companions for the greater good. kind of let them die if he doesn't think that he can save them and obtain his goal. Maybe he would kill someone he loves. I don't know. I do know that that kind of self hatred mixed with an undying need to go on would be really strong emotionally. discuss.
