Xavier,may I ask where did you find such high resolution big pictures? You have already shown us some of them (big picture of Abe, and others)and I can see that they are hosted in your site, Oddworld Maniac.
Gluck Schmuck that big native machine is a rain maker, although it does more than just "rain". Actually, it is used to transform environments from polluted wastelands to clean and fresh landscapes. It works as a huge "filter", changing the air, the landscape, the whole surrounding atmosphere.
Look at these screenshots:

then, the rainmaker is used...
