And re: rods. I was stunned when I first saw the program on telly about them, but after reading a very down-to-earth evaluation of them I decided to stop being so impressed, since those effects could so easily have been created by insects reflecting light. I forget the page, but it puts up a damned good arguement.

Well, scientists now know that Rods exist, and they know that they have existed for millions of years. It is actually impossible to fake the exposures on film the way Rods cause them, and there is such film, but digital video etc. can be forged. Plus, there are stone age petroglyphs of Rods - How stone age man saw such creatures is beyond scientific explain however some beleive that the petroglyphs were actually the work of stone age alien visitors, rather than our ancestors.
It's a strange, magnificant world we live in, and sometimes, some things even more amazing than aliens can be found right under our own noses. But such a diverse and amazing world, couldn't logically be one of a kind in a universe of such a size, so I will still always hold interest in paranormal alien activity.
Now as for your comment on fences Facsimile, what I mean is this fence was REALLY big, it had razor wire, signs warning of VERY high voltages etc. This fence was the grandaddy of all fences, it was specifically designed to keep out curious onlookers at all costs.
Max; Your theory about light is quite true, but with one exception; if something travels at the speed of light, it then becomes light. There is a reason why light travels at the speed it does you know! Read Einsteins theory of relativity and you will see what I mean. NOTHING can accelarate to the speed of light without either becoming light, or causing some kind of inexplicable anomaly because the universe cannot sustain such force or happenings.
