I didn't read all the site, but read the Munch link. But a lot of games don't cater for deaf people. With television you can get CCV or equivalent in order to view sub-titles on the screen if you are deaf. But there's no such thing like that for games. So unless the game actually has sub-titles in it in the first place (games like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, etc do because they are RPGs, and many RPGs are based on a lot of reading), it instantly eliminates this part of the gaming populace.

Maybe one day gaming companies will consider this more, and introduce an optional sub-title to their games. That's what they do with FFX, even though it has voice acting, you can opt to play the game with or without sub-titles.
