Ok guys, enough of the Spam-fest!
Logical explanation is that it's not possible. If you look at the source of the image it's from Oddworld.com, not just a screenshot that Oddbodd took himself.
Well because it is from Oddworld.com, it is possible that they created this screenshot. Any game company can do testing and make games do anything that they want them to do, simply because they created the games and have access to all of the source code, etc.
So in my view I think this image is from some kind of bug testing or the like of Abe's Exoddus. Either that, or OWI took the shot using a test version of the game.
