Well I don't think he lost all of his abilities since he still has his tatoos. But what I do think what happened was that when OWI was redoing the game for X-Box, those abilities too were taken out. Because, if OWI stuck with the original design and idea for Munch before the switch to X-Box, we would have still seen those powers. At least thats what my guess is.
OW4 will most likely bring back those abilities if Abe is in the game of course. And we do hope Abe returns for OW4.
