You can buy scanners relatively cheaply, as when they break, most people just buy new ones because they cost so much to repair. All you need to scan the images in is MsPaint, as that has an option in there that allows you to import from a scanner. I suggest PhotoPaint, as that can handle scanned images quite smoothly. Depending on where you live, a scanner can be around $25 to $50. Not alot of money really, considering how useful it will become.
