Hmm, I have to correct you here...
There are 4 types of mines in the games...
1- Regular Mines (kinda like red and gray stones)
2- Flying Mines (Shaped like proximitymines at sea)
3- Beeping Mines (the ones you can arm and disarm)
4- Timebomb Mines (Looks like 'an up side down winecup')
The last type is the sort of mine you had to deal with... And not:

Weren't there bombs earlier in the game that you had to disarm? They will have looked the same, but you prolly missed it and focussed your attention to the slog

With these sentences it you make it easy to believe that the Timebombs can be disarmed... In fact, they cannot...
