I'd always heard this as:
Freein' the TV of the soap,
Keep the dope from the Pope.
Which, in my opinion, is much better, especially the bit about getting rid of soap operas. Nevertheless, I have to congratulate you on transcribing this - especially that annoying paradise part of the chorus, which I just could not get.

EDIT THE SECOND: I'm also absolutely sure that "In our world, gotta use yer common sense" should be "Power up, gotta use yur common sense." I noticed that in the first topic about the video being released, but I guess I forgot about it.
