Part 2
*Setting: He walked down the cold, white corridor. The lights shining down on him like Heavens bulbs. He held his head down and sighed, his hands in the pockets of his black trousers and his black, uniform jacket scuffed and dirtied. Half of his face was stained with brown, muddied water. It had dried and thus was hard and itchy. Sighing he looked up, his brown eyes noticing shadows coming towards him from around the sharp corner. He stepped closer to the wall as 4 Orkhid troops come from around the corner with their Rifles drawn, they were closely followed by the Head of the Memories Department. He knew what this meant, somebody had failed their Scan. He smiled effortlessly at the Scientist, who was wearing his white gown and was carrying a metallic box. As they passed his head turned to follow them. He silently wished for the person to be alright and for nothing too bad to happen to him or her. He then turned back around and continued walking in his original direction, towards his dorm.*
Voice: "Hey, Aidey!! Wait up...!!"
The teen, Aiden, halted for a brief moment and growled something under his breath before turning. Behind him was one of his collegues, he was dressed in the same gear as him and had black hair and dark purple eyes. He smiled cheerfully and jogged towards him.
Teen: "Tough day, eh?"
Aiden nodded and then looked behind his collegue, checking to see if anyone was coming to join him, he took his hands from his pockets and folded them.
Aiden: "What do you want?"
Teen: "Nothing, heh, just to say 'hi' thats all..."
Aiden raised an eyebrow and nodded before replying sarcasticly.
Aiden: "Yeh...sure."
He then turned once more, walking quickly down the corridor. Only stopping when he felt a hand grab his shoulder and spin him around.
Teen: "What is wrong with you...?!?"
Aiden: "Look, i dont know what your trying to do or why you want to speak to me, but we haven't spoken for, like, years, so i'm kinda guessing the only reason we're talking now is because your stalling me..."
The angered teenager shoved his collegue back with his right hand and allowed himself to get flustered. It had been a long, hard day for him. He had, had worse but not by far and he was slowly starting to get more and more wound up. Slowly the other teen stepped back and shook his head slowly.
Teen: "Jesus, man...You really think i'd stoop that low?"
He turned and walked back into the direction he came from, back towards the training fields. Aiden felt somewhat guilty now, maybe he did want to make up...make things right again. But he couldn't take that chance, he had been hurt too much in the past and he didn't want it to happen again. He ran his hand through his dirt ridden hair and sighed. He then began walking towards his dorm.
***
Smoke drifted from down the corridor and he knew instantly that it was being belched out from his dorm. Quickly he jogged down the corridor, the smoke seemed to be getting thicker with every step he took. Other dorm residents were poking their heads out from their doorways now and sneering. Watching as Aiden ran towards his room. As he slowed to a stop outside the door he realised that the passcode panel had been tampered with. He bowed his head and tried to contain his anger, tried to hold-on to his last thread of dignity. Tears welled up in his eyes and the roaring fire behind his dorm door seemed to mock him, joining in with the gossiping that the other dorm residents were spreading amongst themselves. He dialled in the code and stepped back as the dorm door slid open gently, a mass of heat and smoke burst out from the opening, mocking him more and laughing at his destroyed possessions. Slowly he stepped backwards and rested his back on the wall were he then slid down onto his rear. He watched as the flames danced in his room, happily ripping into his belongings and growing stronger with every item annialated beyond repair...
