Chapter 13 Awakening
Derec once again saw the images that he could still not understand, but they still were as vivid as they had been in the past week. He awoke, still remembering bits and fragments of what he used to be. He remembered, a bustiling metropolis, a city of great importance.
Then as always at the end of the dream, the city was blanketed by a total eclipse, and storms raged on around this grand city, as darkness fell, and all the inhabitants were sent in chaos.
Derec exited the sleeping hut as breakfast was being cooked around the fire. Last night had been a grand celebration, in which all the village muds of Zarcyn had celebrated their hunting season. From what he also put together about the area where he now was, was that the villagers were very spiritual people.
And that a success even as small as a bountiful harvest was to be celebrated, as much as a small ceremony. Derec took his cooked mluck, and ate it quickly as he mounted his elum armed with his spear, an exited the village to try and gain more information on where he was.
The day earlier.....
"Ah Derec, come sit down," the village chief said.
"No, its fine, I dont mind standing up," Derec Replied.
"Well, on a more serious note, Derec have you any idea still where you came from? this whole time I have had a sense that you are not from around here."
"Well to be honest no, I know of my name, which came to me a few days ago. And have visions at night, of a city, on a distant continent, and also a laboratory where, I was held by some strange beings. But besides that no, I dont remember."
"Hmm...there is not much more here that we can do for you Derec, I think you would have better luck searching by yourself. Tommorrow after are grand feast tonight, I give you my authorization to leave the village."
"Understood."
Now going back, to the present, Derec and his elum, silently set off into the forest wilderness.....He would not return to Zarcyn again in this life time.
To be continued.....
Stay tuned to see what happense next you wont want to miss it.
