Pets.

Hi all. I just wanted to ask-Have any of you got pets? I recently got a new puppy and she's a 4 month old golden retriever and I guess she's the only one that really makes me happy. I mean, when i come home after a long while, she greets me with so much loves i.e wagging her tail, jumping around, barking, licking my hands etc...what usual dogs do to greet their owners.
I have concluded that us, as humans can learn a lot from dogs:

1) Always greet dear ones when they come home nicely and lovingly.
2) Spend a lot of time outside loving the miracle known as nature and have fun outdoors.
3) Always stay humble and true to what you are.

I've always been an avid dog lover and I still feel heartbroken about Minni (she was our family pet for 19 years until she unfortunately passed away last May-Minni-you're the best rottweiler there ever was!)
I think if any of you are considering buying a dog-GO FOR IT! There is a saying that 'Happiness can bring a dos into the home and a dog will bring happiness to the owners.'-that couldn't be more true. It is true that a dog can bring happiness into your life.

2 fish. Bruce and Dori.

oddguy 04-24-2004 07:30 AM

I have three cats. Although one is actually mine. I'm taking the little bugger with me when I move out. He's black with green eyes and is totally awesome. I was going to name him Midnight or something cool, but my mom named him Cocoa and everbody in the house liked that the best. Grrrr...oh well, I'm used to it now.

I'll post a pic when I figure out how to work this new fangled digital camera thingy.

The typical names a fat person gives his pet.......

Kitkat was Oddish's brother, who is now a hobo. Milkyway was a dead cow they found on the side of the road.

Oddish 04-24-2004 09:48 AM

Really?

And i'm not fat, i just thought there good names for a pet.

Nasty. ;)

I've got a pet cat, and his name is Moses. He's so cool, he rolls over onto his back so you can scratch his belly. And then there is my Dog Merlin. Merlin is also very cool - he's a grey and white greyhound.

Silversnow 04-24-2004 11:49 AM

I have a cat, Tiger, and two dogs, Damen and Timer. Damen is a poodle (keep running away, don't buy!) and Timer is a briard (really sweet and kind, but it's a pain to keep the house clean with him around) They're a bit annoying sometimes... I have a picture (probably won't work). The dog that's sharing the plate is Damen. Don't know why it got cut off where Timer is.

I don't have any pets; but I recently went to a friend's house for a party only to discover that he had a pet bobcat. It was f*cking awesome. First off, it was twice as big as a normal cat. Plus it had pointy ears and those huge feral eyes that glow when you look at them.

The thing was suprisingly docile. It jumped on my back and settled down with a deep purr. No biting or clawing or anything.

Damn, I should have brought a camera. Not just for the bobcat; there was much goofy shtuffs at the party.

Majic 04-24-2004 05:13 PM

*goes advanced*

I have a kitty. She weighs 14 pounds and amounts to nothing in life, but I love her anyways. I'm not sure if I have any good pictures of her on my computer right now, but I shall post her later.

oddguy 04-24-2004 05:18 PM

I have a chinchilla called Xavier, he's the same colour, size and weight as a small cinderblock. Xavier was the first name that popped into my head when naming him..

One of my best buddies has a domesticated cheetah as a pet. You wouldn't think it to look at the animals on TV, but the thing is HUGE! It's paws are literrally the size of small dinnerplates!

I remember when I first saw it I almost had a heart attack.

Does it say, "Please Bullshit" on this thread?

spike 247 04-25-2004 02:48 AM

I don't have any pets at the moment. But when my house is finished decorating I might be getting a dog.

No bullshit fez, it's true. I'll get a picture of him if you want. :)

Lots of people have weird pets. I used to be on one forum that had a member who kept a bear! So it's not as uncommon as you might think.

Fez 04-25-2004 02:53 AM

Give me a picture.

I'm sorry for saying that, now kiss me!

Codek 04-25-2004 02:56 AM

I don't have a picture on my PC at the moment, I'll have to take my camera the next time I visit his house. If everything goes according to plan, that should be this weekend.

Cars? No I only have one car, and I've just gotten it back from the respray shops again. Got some bodykit modifications done, and added new alloy wheels (the black ones got "lost" in the shop and they gave me spares):

Here it is in the silver that I had for just a few days (still with the spare alloys):

It is true I'm sure. go to exoticpets.about.com and you'll find out. One of my friends from South Africa had two lion cubs when she was a little girl and they grew up thinking she was their mother and they love her to bits (even though she says when she comes back home they jump on her and it feels like a ton of of bricks raining down on here!) If you keep a wild animal from about 8 weeks old (legal and physical age for animals to be separated from their mother) they grow up with you and grow to love you and in most cases won't attack you-dogs are direct descendants of wolves-didja know that? lol
