I don't usually do this, but..

Apparently, I have cancer.

It's testicular, which oddly enough is a good thing.

It's got the highest 'success rate' compared to every other form of cancer, and rarely spreads.

Unfortunately, in my case, it may have. The majority of my time is now spent at work and specialists. I know I just got back and all, but I probably won't be on as often now. This doesn't mean you can revert back to your idiot ways. If anything, it means you better be good little boys and girls.

Think of me like a big pissed off santa. I only come around every so often, but I know what you're up to.

Like I said in the subject line, I don't mention my personal life on the forms much, but this is something you all need to know.

I'll be around. Drop me a line if you know I'm fond of you. Otherwise, leave me alone.

I can't think of an intelligent yet non-stereotypical response to your story, as, at the moment, my brain is shot. Instead, I merely recognize and comprehend what you wrote, and... take care of OT or something? I think I'm s'posed to do something like that.

ClaireBear 04-22-2004 10:41 PM

Testicular cancer at 18... that must be really rare.

Its all a bit too much to take in as Majic says...

All I can say is my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Take care.

But don't think this means that I won't be acting like a troll towards your posts mind! :D

Take care DI!

Wow, unlucky man. Well at least it's not terminal. Go snip em homeboy. :D

Disgruntled Intern 04-23-2004 05:33 AM

Testicular cancer is the most common through 15-22 year olds, actually.

Not what I was told. The person I spoke to about it said it was most common in 30 to 40 year olds.

I looked it up too... (morbid curiosity I guess... sorry DI! ) that sounds about right...

Just think though... if you're an unusual case you'll get the best treatment... well... you would if it was Britain and the NHS... and I'll stop right there... I don't know your financial situation...

But some actually reckon its because of one of your *ahems* not dropping when you're a baby... so perhaps certain kinds are also common in very young men.

But anyhoo... lets not discuss this! Sorry DI!

Disgruntled Intern 04-23-2004 09:39 AM

Death, the person who told you that was misinformed. If you don't believe me then you can Read all about it.

I don't mind it being discussed.

I ****ing hate cancer, i'm not oing at say anymore, to much bad memories.

Hobo 04-23-2004 10:04 AM

Well DI, I hope you recover. I don't think I have anything else to say.

SeaRex 04-23-2004 11:38 AM

Ditto what hobo said.

Feel better, my little dictator. Aww...

Seargentbig 04-23-2004 08:18 PM

I'm not good at writing anything in this situation, but I think that what you want is acknowledgement. So here it is.

Ummm, you're questioning the guy who has it? I'm sure he's well learned in the subject.

Anywho, I hardly got to know you, DI...but I hope you recover. My 22-year-old friend from Scottland has Cancer too. I just hate cancer al together. Especially on people so young. If cancer has to exist...let it prey on the elderly that are about to die anyway. :p*

*If you didn't get I was joking and were offended...then good for you! :p+

+Yeah, that was a joke too! I gotta stop it with these jokes.
