This movie kicks some serious ass. I've read the comics for ages and the movie was but a few dimes shy of dead-on.

I think it looks silly.

I might go see it just for kicks.

I think the main characters design is far too cliché, but i'm gonna see it. Just so i can say "Well, i've seen all comic-book movies. Yeh, go me and my rocking nerdness!!". I'm thinking of adding a random sound on the end of that sentence aswell, just to be different...suggestions for such words are appreciated.

Anyway, Hellboy was actually quite original. And it wasn't bad, but they made a few obvious goofs during shooting, but nothing to steam about. To sum it up: a shitload of Natzi's get so desperate to win a war that they call upon the supernatural gods of chaos to aid them, well the idea was fudged, and the portal they used went awry. Eventually the portal closed on itself but a small devil child escaped, the american army raised the little blighter into a big, hulking, redder that they named Hellboy. Hellboy has a thing for cats, Baby Ruth bars, and solitude, and occasionally kicking some potential monster ass. Of course one those psycho natzi's tries to unleash hell a second time and it's up to Hellboy, a fishman, some HOT chick (pun), and a wussy little college boy to save the known world. I don't want to spoil it from there.
