hey guys/girls,i wans wonder about the Oddworld Net thing...Still dont Work...i know the people that made it are prob Busy,but i was Wondering if you guys could take a lil look at it?thanx

*waves* Well here I am! Back! I have just finished getting a new website online for work which is www.paritech.com.au if anyone is interested. Deadlines are so much fun ... not!

Anyways, I think I might have to take the whole Oddworld Internet Explorer thing off the site. Now that we aren't being hosted by Pilot anymore, we really don't have the space [or the bandwidth] to support something like this [the files are around 60 MB]. Unless I can find somewhere that is free that has that much space and bandwidhth [a very tough ask] and supports these kinds of downloads ... I sadly will not be able to return this download to the site.

It's so infuriating we're all of us constantly let down by this bandwidth thing. Perhaps sometime in the future fans can collaborate with one another to pay for one all-purpose media hub where all these programs and lengthy videos can be downloaded. Or perhaps have them hosted at several places, and use some cunning form of script that goes way beyond my abilities to indicate which mirrors have the most bandwidth left.

Unfortunately, it's the way things are. In order to preserve the sanity of the forum visitors, as well as both Oddworld Universe's and Oddworld Web's visitors we have to make sacrifices. Though your idea sounds great, but in reality I don't think such a thing will ever come about, as there are legal / monetary issues that can easily arise (yes, I see the irony, in that Abe Babe and I collectively pay for the host).
