The Blair Witch--do you believe?

This small topic has been discussed through the masses over and over and somehow has yet to be discussed here. This question will just ring up speculation which is what I want....Do you believe in all this blair witch hoo-ha?

I'm not sure what to believe, I've seen enough info to say it's real but I've also seen just as much info claiming it's a hoax. But enough about me, what do you think?

Fez 03-21-2004 05:18 AM

i thought it only went as far as a movie. So there's a real one?

Sekto Springs 03-21-2004 05:21 AM

Yes, but what I'm saying is do you think the movie is true? Do you think there is a real Blair Witch is what I'm saying. Lots have claimed it is.

Fez 03-21-2004 05:39 AM

well, its a movie. That means its made up. So if your believing it then you should stop watching it, go to a nice place in Cayman, and stay the hell away from cameras, forests or winter hats.

Sekto Springs 03-21-2004 06:13 AM

NO, I said I don't know if I believe, I don't think you're clear on what I"m asking.

Thats exactly what I did, and look how I turned out. :p

I don't really belive in all Blair Witch malarkey. I think it was a hoax or a publicity stunt, kinda like crop circles. If you know what I mean. :fuzwink:

I don;t know either... there is no cast mentioned... not after the movie or on the back of the cover. So I truly don't know. Seems rather unlikely though. Normaly I don't believe in stuff like that.

Just as long as she stays off my lawn, I'm fine with her.

Majic 03-21-2004 07:14 AM

No, I don't believe. Sorry, sir, it's just all wackidy dackidy and such. But hey, it spawned a spoof called "The Bare Wench", so it was good for something, I think.

Wil 03-21-2004 07:20 AM

Woah, hold on there Havoc. Last time I watched the Blair Witch Project (which is the only time I watched it, when it premiered on British terrestrial) it distinctly named the actors who played the kids. The movie is clearly just a movie. Whether there's truth in some real legend, I don't know.

Their acting isn't actually acting though. Apparently they really were scared when the Director/Producer peeps were running through the woods and being scawy.

oddguy 03-21-2004 08:42 AM

Yeah, it was all improv. I hear the director sent the actors secret messages in their cantines and stuff. The actors were really all by themselves in the woods and scared.

im not sure about it cause 1.it could just be a film
and the directors just picked up the first dumbasses they saw walk down the street and then kicked them into the forest and started taping them or 2.it could have actully happend but everyone think its to far out to be true
but thats just me........:)

Ok, I actually heard an interview with the directors. See, when it came out in the US (and possibly some other places as well) they promoted it as being real but by the time it reached us here in australia they had already admitted overseas that it wasn't real so they didn't put up the whole act in promoting it. Plus it's a really crap movie.

Mac the Janitor 03-21-2004 12:23 PM

It's a bunch of malarky.

'Nuff said.

Al the Glukkon 03-22-2004 11:29 AM

I don't think its real. They probabily tried to copy the Bell Witch.
