New Oddworld music video
 

Although I know that SS is currently having some probs with his programs and can't upload any music or movies, im still gonna ask. :fuzzle:
I have this realy way cool idea to make a music video of Oddworld with the music of Kane - So glad you made it. I already have entire idea in my head but I can't find the movies anywhere and I don't know any way to extract them.
So if someone knows a place where movies from AO (and maybe AE) can be found please let me know. And if you want some info on my idea just ask, I might post it in the fan fic corner :).

Try looking for a program where you can record movie files from what is seen on the screen. I dunno what they're called, but there's some good ones out there.

I know, but I can't find any. And even if I did, im not to sure AO will run on my XP comp...

Ah, don't worry about that at all. I have Windows XP, and I can run Abe's Oddysee perfectly.

Oh, and Oddguy, I use a way easier method than that. I have this little boxy thing where you just hook the Xbox output cables (red, yellow, white) into it and then hook the boxy thing up to your USB drive. It works like a charm.

Havoc, you could probably find one of those at Fry's Electronics...that's where I got mine. But that's only if you have the Playstation versions of them.

uh, guys... my videos aren't top quality, I'm sure you can do better with your programs...

the videos I got are those showed by GTinteractive at an E3 to promote AE

quality isnt important... (gotta see whats going on ofcourse, but i dont think their that bad)

Haha, well mine's for Macintoshes...but it's called Dazzle. There are plenty of 'em at Fry's Electronics though. They're meant for converting normal tape video recorders onto your computer, so look for them under that.

wow, Mac this sounds great, but don't you need any powerfull cards on your computer? how much does that thing cost?

Actually, as far as I know you don't need anything extra on your computer. It just treats it as a digital camera. Cuz that's what it's meant for...video tape conversion, but I kinda cheat and plug in the Xbox instead...it thinks it's a camera though. It works VERY well. Very clear and crisp, it's the quality you get on your television while playing.

I think mine cost around $125, but I'm not too sure...but it's in that price range. Pretty cheap for a neat thing.

I have Dazzle, it's one of the devices I use to extract video/music. It's one of a few things that need repair before I sart posting Music/movies agin.

Anywayz, back On Topic: Which FMV's are you planning to put into the video, Havoc?

Well I was actualy planning on useing all of them (all from AO). I already made a small one using the intro movie from oddworld.com. But I wasnt even halfway the song and already I was out of material :P. Now I stuffed the rest with some bullcrap comments...

Anyway, I have a great idea, but the movie I need the most is the what a drag and the good ending movies. I have a totaly cool idea with those movies and the music of kane - so glad you made it (listnen to the last part and youl know exactly what I mean)

Okay guys, I finnished the video and if you are lucky you should be able to find it on Kazaa Lite K++. Its names Oddworld Kane Remix but you can search for some more oddworld related stuff and it should pop up 2.

Ok, news on the Video. Ive send it to Mac who is gonna post the link on Oddblog and here on the forums.
Although he rememberd me of a crucial thing: OWI Permision... I totaly forgot about that!!!
So... I send OWI a kind mail asking permission to publish the video, Im hoping for their mail any minute.
