That's a cool slog, but I think I could do a better one.

Nath 03-10-2004 08:38 AM

You proberbly could

Xavier 03-10-2004 08:43 AM

good slog
very good find!

Sekto Springs 03-10-2004 09:12 AM

That slog lacks alot of detail but I guess it's fine seeing how he just did it for fun.

oddguy 03-10-2004 10:15 AM

This guy is just a mimic-er...right? Anyway, I recon he could've constructed a wire frame and mounted it to the bottom so that stupid blob would be supporting the slog.

Skilled modelers like him should know better than to support a model with a clump of excess clay, it's just a big eyesore.

oddguy 03-10-2004 10:27 AM

He has somewhat good skill, since I asume he did that Gollum maquette displayed in his site banner. I just think he was lazy with the slog sculpture.

voilĂ*, it's on Oddblog...
the sculpture is not bad, but could be a way better ;)

atusiya@ 03-10-2004 05:18 PM

He does not obtain the copyright from OWI.
So he can't make a perfect SLOG.
But he is one of Oddfellow. ;)

CarboN 03-11-2004 06:23 AM

I think that the slogs smile reveals that its not so 'serious' artwork...
But I like those legs!

Majic 03-11-2004 06:58 AM

I rather like the plain look of it. And I don't find the rocks too distracting either. When you're thinking about it too critically as an artist, which is sort of sad if your first thoughts are to compare yourself too it, it takes away from the whole "cool" factor.
