What the hell?!
 

I have Dish Network as my satelite tv provider, and guess what just happened? Viacom just pulled their major networks off satelite. Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon. As you can imagine, I'm pissed. Anybody else having this problem?

I read this in the paper.

The article reads...

"Retirees Bob and Kathleen hiller, of Munhall, have watched KDKA-TV's noon news broadcast for years. But when longtime DISH Network subscribers tuned in looking for local news, they saw a DISH company executive explaining that the network could no longer carry KDKA programming. As many as 9 million satelite custsomers in all 50 states lost the Viacom owned cable networks, and 1.6 million of them also lost CBS station because of a dispute over pricing between Viacom Inc, parent of CBS, and EchoStar Communications corp., that satelite provider that no longer owns DISH network. Other channels no longer available included were MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, B.E.T., Noggin, and VH1."

I'm not gonna type the whole thing because it's like 4 pages long, but this still gives you a good idea of what's happening.

Damn them, and we were thinkin' about getting DirectTV which is a DISH.

I'm really pisssed. The 8th season of South Park was coming up and everything. Now I won't be able to see it. Damn. SpongeBob, Invader Zim and Angry Beavers gone too. Shit! I hardly ever use language, but this is really upseting to me. Oh well, tv isn't the most important thing in life. I guess I'll live.

Man, missing March Madness AND Comedy Central must blow! Viacom has the leverage here because they own a TON of powerful stations. They're in the driver's seat and they will not fold so you might have to get used to missing a ton of excellent t.v.

Hmm.... I dont have cable, or satellite. I have terristrial with 4 whole chennels for my viewing!
I prefer it that way....

Wow, 4 channels. I have about 496 more channels than you.

Finally, Comcast and Viacom got the issue sorted out. I have all my Viacom chanels back! Yay! :D
